St. John Bosco (Don Bosco), a 19th-century priest known for his tireless work with poor and abandoned children in Turin, often struggled to provide food for the hundreds of boys under his care.
One day, more than 600 hungry children gathered at the table, but there were only a few loaves of bread in the kitchen.
Don Bosco began to distribute the bread, praying silently.
Miraculously, each time he broke off a piece, the loaf did not diminish.
The bread seemed to multiply in his hands until all the boys were fed and satisfied.
This multiplication of food was witnessed on several occasions — not only with bread, but also with chestnuts and pasta — showing God’s providence for the poor through His servant Don Bosco.
Today, St. John Bosco is honored as the patron saint of youth and educators, remembered for his deep faith and love for the young.
