The Miracle of St. Catherine of Siena and the Invisible Communion (14th century)

St. Catherine of Siena (1347–1380), a great mystic and Doctor of the Church, was known for her visions and profound holiness.

One day, while attending Mass, the priest hesitated to give her Holy Communion, doubting her worthiness.

Suddenly, before the eyes of everyone present, the consecrated Host disappeared from the priest’s hands and miraculously appeared directly on Catherine’s tongue.

The congregation was astonished and fell to their knees, realizing that God Himself had ensured that Catherine would receive His Body and Blood.

This miracle confirmed her sanctity and deep union with Christ, strengthening her reputation as one of the greatest saints of the Catholic Church.
